Pup Clarke - WAFG. I love the bloke and I don't care who knows it or how much they want to chip at him.

Great over, we needed that bad.

So do I (to a point) and this has been a good knock but you can't deny he's been poor in ODI's in 08-09.

A hundred off 132 balls, given the situation when he came in really isn't that bad; given some of these posts you'd think he was striking at 50, not 75.

Johnny Hastings?

A no-name nuffy, selected out of nowhere.

Shocked to find out he wasn't from NSW. lol
Yeah, woe betide the selectors pick young blokes with impressive records. Baffles me that the selectors are so keen to get young players into the limited overs teams but not Tests.

Doesn't it kind of annoy people that Hussey gets 69 and Clarke gets over a 100, in a pretty meaningless match right after the failed test series?

Oh god leaking runs now. I thought we would be able to limit them to 240.. looks like 260 is still on now.

One of the worst ways to get runs, but at this stage of the innings it's still gold.
Worth equal to a perfect extra cover drive, though. 4's a 4.

No. Runs for Australia in an international match are runs for Australia in an international match.

This is the norm for ODIs Clarke since the WC.

That was a good shot though. Almost killed Billy.

Another one! At last.

Yeah, since the WC, he's averaged a mere 41 at a S/R of 71, as opposed to his overall career avg of 43 at 77. Massive drop off!

What happened to the 90's off 70 though? The 50's of 25?

Oh great stuff White. Perfect 50.

He actually is from New South Wales; he just wasn't good enough to make our team so he pissed off to Victoria. He joins the less than exclusive list of players who have played for NSW Second XI and Australia within two seasons.

I've never rated him (dirt poor man's James Hopes IMO) but you can't knock his performances over the last year or so in all forms of the game so it's a good opportunity to have a look at him. Picked on actually performing rather than hype like Ferguson or Smith (as a bowler) so I'm not going to complain.
