I read on Cricinfo that Pakistan may be suspended from Cricket :-O will this happen before this Series.
Why is the Government of People love Mr Butt so much when I see people clearly hating him
Butt was about to get the boot when one of the important minister who is related to Butt intervened and threatened to quit the government if Butt gets fired, the PPP government atm is very weak an cannot afford to loose any support so we are subjected to Butt-torture till this government is around.

Yeah...whats his name there....Ahmed Mukhtar the defense minister or something...

A clear example of how top level politics is directly the cause of a lot of problems that common people have. If they kept politics to just politics and not institutions it wouldn't be nearly as bad.

To be honest, even if PML N forms government with other bits and pieces of parties i don't see why they wouldn't want a piece of the pie and appoint another moron as the chairman. As long as PCB is tied with politics and civilian government, there is little hope for any improvement imo.

I heard somewhere that M. ILyas who is Imran Farhat's father in law and a chief selector has selected 2openers deliberatly so Farhat can get a chance to play all the matches..

it is like wtf.. based on what he was selected in the team anyways..He didn't perform in England.. He sucks and one of the slowest batsman to have and a terrible fielder who drop catches 90% of the time.

thank god they recently added Shahzab Hasan to the sqaud or else we would be stuck playing Farhat and Hafeez through out the tournment..

I remember long time ago, I watched this Indian movie called Nayak from Anil Kapoor.. on the movie he was a honest journalist who happen to get his hands on a currption from the government...

soon he found himslef as a president of the country for a day.. during that day, he suspend and fire all the currept people involved in the government.. I think pakistan cricket need a hero like him. someone who comes in and in one day clean the whole cricket of pakistan by sending all these currept people packing..

Yup. YK is back.....big relief tbh...yet to be confirmed for the Test squad though. But there was another news there....Mo Yo may be out for 2-3 weeks due to an injury....not sure if it really is a big enough injury or not...

How serious is "grade 2 abductor muscle tear" as the article states?

not very serious I suppose if a guy of Yousuf's age and low fitness levels (he is officially 36 so he actually might be in his 40s) can get well in about 2 weeks.

 No i think he is 36....but quite low on fitness levels.
Well he might be in his 50s for all I care if he can make good runs. Incidentally I had a chance to meet him recently (around April) and he is a really nice chap.

Too bad he got injured.

I honestly think his actual age might be in the 40s. Do you really think Amir is 18???? And for that matter do you really think Afridi was 16 when he came into the national side???

About Amir and Yousuf i am pretty sure...But Afridi is an iffy question...but i am more inclined to believe he was 16 when he started out....

Amir doesn't look 18. Just go on to any college websites in Pakistan and see the 2nd year students. Amir almost looks like their elder brother with 8 siblings in between.

And if you go on youtube and see Afridi's fastest century you will notice that he looks like one a guy who entered class 1 at the age of 12 and got into the cricket team after doing his matric :).........

which reminds me..........take a look at matric kids and look at Afridi.........there seems like a big age gap

Amir was 17 on debut actually...and to me he did look like a 17 year old...but again i can't prove it...people can mistake a lady for a man (SAF Woman runner) so its easy to mistake someone's age....

Afridi on the other hand has always been a mysterious case... lol

well........Afridi is an extreme case if we can call it that..........16 years old deutante.....my ***.....:)

I remember a great line from an article on cricinfo something to the effect "Then there is the Bangladesh cricket team whose players look 10 years younger than their stated age. Unlike the Pakistani players who look 10 years older than their stated age."

Afridi and Younas are 3 years older than their official ages-they have said so in interviews on geo many times.Yosaf is 2 years older than his official age.

Pak test team in absence of Amir-Asif should be-

1.Farhat(no choice)
2.Hameed
3.Younas
4.Yosaf
5.Umer
6.Fawad
7.Zulqarnain
8.Ajmal
9.Akhtar(if he agrees)
10.Gul
11.Irfan/Wahab Riaz

PLEASE NO SAMI!!!!!
