Yeah, I really don't rate him much at all but he was fantastic, especially before the break (tea I think it was). Every ball was on a perfect length shaping away.
Have always liked the looked of Henriques personally ever since i saw him in that under-19 WC a few years back.

I see Coyte bowls Right Arm Short. NSW really peppering O'brien with the short ball and he has refused to let many of them go, he's also been underneath 90% of them

Haha everyone who has ever played Sydney first grade knows O'Brien can't play the short ball. Coyte definitely does like banging it in regardless though. :p

He played the short ball pretty well though tbf. Played a few good hook and pull shots in his knock.

Good day for O'Keefe. Kinda timely too I guess but the selectors think Smith's a bowler so it's probably a moot point.

*moot.

(pet hate, right up there with 'wholistic'.)

Don't think this match is a total disaster for SA. They have a few new players, will take a while to gel, etc. The short stuff has cost them big time, though. Edmonson still in Perth if his default length is any indication...... On paper, this bowling attack looks decent, certainly better than last year's. Add George to it, looks even better and Ferguson will obviously boost the batting.

Reckon by Christmas, this game will be looked upon as a bit of an aberation. Not that I think they're good enough to seriously challenge for the Shield final this year but reckon it's got the potential to be a good side. One day, they may even pick South Aussies again.
