Yeh I know. India thoroughly deserve to win this match. Australia played pretty damn poorly tbh.It was so obvious this score would be chase-able though. Let's not kid ourselves.
Pissed off more than anything.Chip on your shoulder? He's been terrible this series true, but...
Well I'm sure the English would be happy if he were dropped. It's one of the worst things we could possibly do ATM.Pissed off more than anything.
That's like saying India had Dravid and Tendulkar at the same time, so therefore, it's baffling that they haven't produced another young gun who's taken Test cricket by storm yet. Warne, and to a lesser extent, MacGill were freaks - you can have good systems in place to identify and promote such talents, but you can't teach it.I don't get it. They had Warne and MacGill playing in the same era, and now they can't get anyone half as good as MacGill, nevermind Warne.
MacGill > Harb, Swann, etc etc.
Not tjhe first time so it'll be interesting to see whether the selector bite the bullet or keep their heads in the sandYeh I know. India thoroughly deserve to win this match. Australia played pretty damn poorly tbh.
Yeah maybe Sachin isn't such a nice guy actually. He's murdering Hauritz' careerSachin should show some mercy to Hauritz....
You have got to feel sorry for the poor bloke. Sachin has not showed him any respect at all as a bowler....right through this series.
Two paced pitch with massive cracks. Poor bowling punished by a wonderkid, thats all.I think the record run chases in India aren't true indicators of difficulty in present times.
The wickets in India have changed pretty recently, to be far more batsmen friendly. That being said, I think Aus made their second innings look far more difficult than it really should have been. India are showing how playable the wicket still is.
Nah, we were ok. India, especially at home, are just formidable opponents. Reckon we can fall into the trap of disrespecting our opponents sometimes if we solely attribute any loss to us playing badly. India have taken wickets when needed, and hung in when we looked like taking it away (North and Paine in the first, Ponting and Paine in the second). Their batsman have applied themselves and they've simply been the better team. That said, there are some positives here for us as well, in terms of a developing team, along with a couple of apparent problems. Hauritz has been disappointing, but I still think he is the best option for the fourth bowler going forward. Hussey and North are the bigger worries, although North played well in the 1st innings here.Yeh I know. India thoroughly deserve to win this match. Australia played pretty damn poorly tbh.
I think it's fair to say that the Australian system doesn't really identify and promote spinners particularly well though. The only spinner managing to even justify his place at First Class level at the moment wasn't touched by our coaches or exposed to our system as a youth cricketer and was left to develop on his own until he was 37 - I don't think that's a coincidence. It shouldn't take a freak talent to find someone vaguely decent and the system just isn't doing it at the moment .. whether it be the pitches or the coaches or the captaincy or the way they're handled by selectors, it's just not happening. That's like saying India had Dravid and Tendulkar at the same time, so therefore, it's baffling that they haven't produced another young gun who's taken Test cricket by storm yet.
