Ponting is pretty clueless when it comes to setting fields for spinners

Of the ones he's captained, Warne and Macca basically set their own fields whilst you get the feeling that he's never rated the others so he sets fields expecting the worst

and what is ur excuse for his terrible field placement for his fast bowlers? believe it or not..he didn't have slips and he had like 5 fielders out in the boundry as if he is playing for draw or definding 400 runs..

ya..Pointing's captaincy was worst than Yousuf's during the sydney Test..

Haha Warney has made it obvious what he thinks of Ponting's field setting for a while now, but that tweet was as open as anything he's ever said.

No doubt Warney told Ricky to gagf and he set his own fields back when he was playing.

It will have to be tbh. As soon as Australia start reversing it big it's gonna be x10 more difficult. Which is why this blazing start comes in handy. India really should take max 35 overs to get this done with.

It is silly to not have slips. But he wouldn't have played that shot if there was a slip. So it's not a missed chance.
