He is, trust me. He's well and truly out of nick though.I always thought the whole thing about Clarke being a great player of spin was overhyped.
His average against spin is far higher than against pace.I always thought the whole thing about Clarke being a great player of spin was overhyped.
I think its got to his head a bit...He is, trust me. He's well and truly out of nick though.
Not really, no. A guy is allowed to be out of nick, you know. Both of his dismissals this test were to balls that a few months ago he would have stepped out to, but they dipped more than he expected.I think its got to his head a bit...
Yeh I said him being a GREAT player of spin was overhyped. I still think he is a good player of spin, but not enough to warrant all the attention given to him over it.His average against spin is far higher than against pace.
Johnson is a free wicket if the ball is spinning.Call me crazy but after realizing that the spinners were bogging us down I would have sent in Johnson after Clarke. He'd have a go at them and hopefully turn the tide. The pitch will play truer now than when he'd get in later too.
I think thats a great plan. Unfortunately captains rarely ever do stuff like that.Call me crazy but after realizing that the spinners were bogging us down I would have sent in Johnson after Clarke. He'd have a go at them and hopefully turn the tide. The pitch will play truer now than when he'd get in later too.
Even a little is probably enough to get Mitch's wicket. He has a huge bat lift and plays across the line.Neither of these two really spin it that much TBF. He's a power hitter and I'd send him in hoping for a boundary or two to upset their rhythm.
Yeh as you said, its only going to get harder. And I've always thought that lower batsmen/tail enders seem to play better when they are promoted up the order. Its like they take their job more seriously or something.Neither of these two really spin it that much TBF. He's a power hitter and I'd send him in hoping for a boundary or two to upset their rhythm.
But it's going to get worse later on. I don't think Johnson will get 100 but even a brisk 20-30 would do.Even a little is probably enough to get Mitch's wicket. He has a huge bat lift and plays across the line.
