I doubt it. And even if they get quick runs, they would still want enough to cover for Sehwag etc. Probably a lead of at least 350, judging by the previous test.
If they managed to get a competitive total to chase, then I'm sure if India started losing wickets, they would bat for a draw. No chance they would go for a win over a draw, seeing as though the series is in the bag either way.
And all of that is not even taking into account weather. Chances of afternoon rain both tmrw and the next day apparently.
The only way I can see a result here is if either Aus bowl out India in about 64 runs (hence getting a lead of 100), or if India decide to amp up the run rate from now onwards and get a significant lead, and then bowl out Aus for around 200 or less (winning by an innings) or giving them a small lead only (say 100 runs) which they can easily, and quickly chase.. All of those scenarios seem incredibly unlikely to me, so my money is firmly on a draw.

Imo, he needs the delivery to knock a batsman over. The quick yorker or the inswinger or something like that, because his bouncer and outswinger really do work over batsmen into crumbling messes, sometimes.

He was moving it both ways just before tea but I agree that he needs a good yorker.

Oh yeah, not doubting he was moving it both ways. I was only woken up about an hour ago by a fire alarm test (not even a drill, just a test of the system), Regarding the yorker, I don't really think that anyone has a 'bad yorker' it is just being able to land it in roughly the right area (overpitched usually does the job if it is straight and it moves, same with a low full toss) and you bowl it at the right time to a batsmen who is a bit all over the shop.

Not really, I'll take 1-0 against Australia, especially in a two match series. If Australia want to do something about it, they can try to get one of these two out.

Yeah India needs to step on the scoring: about 4 runs per over from here on in. They have half a chance of putting some pressure if there is some turn on day 4/5. Say they get a lead of around 70 by lunch tomorrow. They will have about three sessions to bowl out Australia leaving them with a target of around 170 in two sessions. Of course given they are one up they are probably quite happy with a draw.

I know; I was more in reply to the idea that playing for a draw is somehow anti cricket and that it is somehow easy or unskillful to bat time and accumilate against Australia.
