Bit misleading to ignore that he got clocked in the forehead the ball before, isn't it?Yeah I'm happy to admit any Indian batsman that has issues with short ball brigades (Sourav, Raina, Yuvraj), but that is not what got Sehwag out. Very misleading for anyone to think it IMO
Mitch, innit? Guess you take the rough with the smooth.Woah, what happened there. No chance of Paine getting within the same area code as that one.
That's what I thought but cricinfo suggests that it wasn't originally going to be like that, but rather it hit something on the pitch and went completely bonkers.Mitch, innit? Guess you take the rough with the smooth.
Sehwag would have played that shot to that ball anyday. I wouldn't go so far as to suggest that he played that shot because he was unsettled by other short balls.Bit misleading to ignore that he got clocked in the forehead the ball before, isn't it?
If you're getting peppered it isn't always the throat ball that gets you. But te short ones can have a lot to do with you getting out. Was well bowled in that instance.
And cheers Sachin to take the one when the ball richocets off him at the non-striker's end.
How did him getting hit on the head have him pick out the man though?Bit misleading to ignore that he got clocked in the forehead the ball before, isn't it?

At least it's happening. Wasn't going to at all originally, remember?Just like to add my voice to the chorus of ugh that this is only a 2-Test series. Both Tests have been intensely competitive, deserves 5.
Perhaps it encouraged him to play the shot, it's not a shot he normally plays. How did him getting hit on the head have him pick out the man though?
I know we like to think everything is linked in cricket, and it was a definite tactic, but I just don't think this one was related.
Agree to disagree I guess.
Yeah not sure why people are forgetting this point. At least it's happening. Wasn't going to at all originally, remember?
