*Official* Australia in India 2010

I honestly thought Australia deserved to win that more. They toiled so much harder for runs for most of the match.

However, that being said. That was a truly admirable performance from Laxman and Sharma. But please lets not pretend the guy was really injured...8-)

You have to feel sorry for Australia. They lost a very similar game in Edgbaston 05, and now this. Must be tough to fight so hard and then fail at the final hurdle.

Yeah, not soul-crushed by this. Disappointed obvs at 8/125, but a stellar effort by Ishant Sharma, Steyn like. VVS, as stated, is not a man but some sort of Australia-crushing run-scoring alien construct. But just a ****ing awesome test match. Only bitter points for me are the ****tiness of our middle order and the umpiring. Edgbaston was worse IMO.

And the captaincy. Oh gods the captaincy.

And go die in a ****ing fire anyone who says "test cricket is dying".

The biggest problem is what will happen next match...

I can't see Australia recovering from this now, and a 2-0 thrashing is easily on the cards (again).

Before criticizing Ponting's captaincy, you've got to take into account the fact that he did not have Bollinger in that last session, and also no captain can prevent four overthrows with 6 runs left.

I reckon Bollinger could have made the crucial difference a bit earlier.

Never seen so many people get pissed off. Social, DeusEx, Got_spin... so angry at me telling them their team was better and would win
yeh because we knew you were being a deceitful ass 8-)

Btw I take it you actually won money from this?

I'm still in shock, that was absorbing cricket all day, and I'd imagine for the previous four days as well.

I love VVS.

Can prevent Laxman getting easy runs when there are 80 runs left to win tbh.

He captained poorly after Harbhajans wicket. Don't see how anyone can deny that.

An absolute thriller. It's that man VVS again. Although I am from Pakistan and was reading the match on cricinfo (cricinfo crashed when India were 203/8....this has been happening to them a lot lately.....their servers crash at important moments). Had to switch over to another website. All this while my heart was thumping in my chest.

Well played India. Especially Ishant and VVS. Super test match. It must be really heart breaking for Ricky and Co.

Long before that. Giving away so many singles until they were two or three hits away? Taking off Hilfenhaus for Hauritz when Hilfenhaus was in wicket-taking mood? Taking out second slip only for the next ball to go through second slip (and he's still new at the crease ffs!)

Nah mate, I hedged my bet on Betfair when Australia were dominating, and then after they got Ishant, but I did it so I'd win money on Australia, and break even on India. So broke even.
