Have to say that India's fielding and Dhoni's keeping was absolutely deplorable - they really should've had Oz out for 200

To make matters worse, much of it is simply because they are lazy buggers and wont chase hard etc

Really very poor stuff from a bunch of professionals
Historically we do badly at first test...... And we will come hard at you in next test.....

Thought India's ground fielding was pretty good tbh, was just the catching that let them down.

They aren't lazy, just horribly unfit. Ground fielding was decent though they could've stopped a lot of runs if they attacked the ball. Ponting and Watson were begging to be run out in that partnership actually.

Catching was horrible.. both players to be dropped went on to score too. When Ojha dropped one of his own bowling it was a serious facepalm. Even Ishant managed to fumble the last catch and not take it cleanly.

I cannot see Australia dismissing India two times in this pitch in three days.....If it happens it must be mother of all collapses..... Heading towards a draw hopefully.... As auzzies know India are very good at Mohali.... and very very bad at Bangalore......

That's EXACTLY what that smiley is.
Look there is a difference between making a tongue in cheek comment that is genuinely funny, and just looking to anger some fans by saying something preposterous and then hiding behind that smiley like a coward.

I'm 100% certain that my opinion is correct on this issue. Anyway, it says a lot that you will stick behind the poster you know even if he was wrong....

I'm out of this thread....

TBF, in India, Ponting is the nightwatchman.
Ok one last post in this thread..

Above is a good example of using that smiley.

It makes fun of batsman's poor form in India - which is true/part true....

On the other hand to say another batsman was hiding to face the might of Jhonson (come ****ing on...there is a limit to hyperbole) is preposterous. It can't be verified and it is plain mischief making...

I hipe "uppercut" can see the difference...

So it is ok to say absolutely rubbish things with no foundation or verification and just add  after it....
Yes, basically. It shows there's a joke behind it and that you don't actually mean what you post. Given you're new here you missed the in-joke centring around the absolutely endless Ponting/Tendulkar comparisons on this forum - the  was basically put in for your benefit and you still decided to take it seriously and retort the point aggressively.

To be fair if Sir Alex had made that post everyone would have been baying for his blood and wanting a banning.
But it is fine for other members to continue to do it as long as they are in majority.Just saying....

No.. most of the time it is the batsman's call...
I highly doubt that.

It's the captains call most of the time ,unless the batsmen is desperate to go out .

Besides Sending Ishant in in the second last over is a good move. As if he sticks around tomorrow morning,he is more likely to contribute from here than he is at the end of the innings.

The boo
Sehwag's dismissal less than 10 minutes from stumps was, of course, a sad event for the weekend crowd at the PCA Stadium, but soon they realised who the next batsman would be, and cheered up again, chanting "Sachin, Sachin", rushing to the front rows to catch a glimpse of the man walking out to bat. Alas, they saw Ishant Sharma walk out as the nightwachman, and gave him the booing of his life. And it had nothing to do with his 11.4 overs for 71 runs, or the 10 no-balls that he bowled.

Zaheer is such an awesome bowler. Imran started becoming an epic bowler when he was 29/30 innit? Before that he had a couple of awesome series'. Zaheer's only 31 atm. Has the england series behind him. Wishful thinking and all that, but he looks very good atm.
Zaheer is a good bowler, but doesn't deserve a mention in the same breath as Imran tbh, lets keep our feet on the ground aye.

Surely the majority of the ground would be educated enough to realise it would be silly to expose Tendulkar for the last 10 mins
