Yeah agreed, puts the pitch in proper context and why some of us were a bit puzzled why Watto was sitting on his handle.
He barely sweeps, doesn't he? Seems to be one of the only two really decent methods our players have come up with. Sweep everything, like Hayden, or use your feet, like Clarke.

Only just switched this on for the first time and I apologise in advance as I'm sure this has been mentioned before but surely the size of that crowd doesn't reflect the interest in Test matches in India - does it?

I can't believe how empty that stadium is

maybe it comes on with the new cherry could be a reason for Dhoni to delay the new ball.
Nah. If Dhoni had the opportunity (Ishant) to get the new ball early on today when Johnson was batting, he would have definitely done so. He just delayed it to give Ishant a bit of a warm up before bowling with it.

The sports lovers in Mohali turn up only to watch Priety Zinta.

Yeah Mitch! Not even close to his most dangerous ball, but Mitch vs. Sehwag, what do you expect?

That's sizeable. Sehwag taps his helmet on the way off and rightly so. Mild brain freeze, but that is how he plays. Likes width and seizes on it.

Good stuff from Mitch - bowls some loose stuff but looked like getting wickets

One more for the day and Oz will have had a very good second day

Another wicket for Johnson with another nothing delivery; gotta love him. :p
Not that nothing, Sehwag clearly was much less comfortable against Johnson than, say, Hilfenhaus.

Yeah, look at the replay, clearly not enjoying trying to play that.

Doesn't get better on second or third viewings, does it? If one's primarily an off side player why try to fetch that onto leg. Daft batting.

Ishant an odd call for nightwatchman? He done it before? Chance to prove that he's good for something tho, I suppose
