You don't rant about him, it just sounds like he doesn't have much respect for you or what you want to do, which is pretty much the worst thing a parent can do. Feel for you, the game sounded good :(

Well I asked and she gave me the "I'll need to speak to your step-dad" line, which is a no 150% of the time.
As shown by today again.
I believe one thing he said to me was "Who do you think you are to just decide to travel half way up the country on your own?" :wallbash:
haha, at least they love you.. I've always been slightly worried about mine since they let me go to a match at the racecourse ground in Derby on my own..

Whatever it takes!!!
Really think one of the English counties should look at signing Dinesh Karthik. Away from the pressure of international cricket, he will bat more normally allowing his good technique to see him through and I think with this keeping skills and work ethic he would be a very good investment for a county.

EDIT: Realize it is offtopic for this thread, but just something I have always thought of and never had a chance to post here somewhere. :)

It's a cultural thing. I can see where Sir Alex is coming from, it's unthinkable to speak of parents that way here in India.

Look, a few people on CW will understand my frustration as they know about the relationship I have with my step-dad and how it affects the one between myself and my mum.
But yeah, this thread served its purpose and I'd rather it didn't turn into a discussion about the way I posted about my mum on a bloody internet forum.
