Rodger played like his former self all match but after that shot I'm now inclined to watch his 2nd round match even more closely. If he plays like he did tonight, then I'll be confident in cashing in that $20 bet I made for him to win the Open. I like his chances more so than the other two I was contemplating: Murray and Djoker.

TBF, it's easy to pull out the trick shots against Brian Dabul. I thought he missed a few too many forehands and simple volleys. Liked his serving, though.

Nice first day of tennis, fairly predictable results overall.
