I wonder why the Indians seem so vulnerable even with seven specialist batsmen. Ideally any team with so many batsmen would cruise through in such a situation. Is it the way these blokes bat? Or the pressure of a steep total in suddenly difficult conditions? Or too much pressure on too few bowlers? Time and again, they've given away more runs than they can score, even with such a selection. It's a lot more frequent than the few successful chases of 2002-04.
And I do feel for Rohit Sharma. He's one of the top limited-overs batsmen, but may lose his place on account of this series. He's not that bad a player to throw away. Karthik, Jadeja and Ojha, though...
