Scorecard Draft

Riggins

International Captain
Hello All,

First chance i've had to post for too long, been going through some pretty serious family issues and the internet took a back seat.

Sorry to have let you guys down dropping out halfway through the process but equally disappointed that I didn't get a chance to finish because it was v interesting and educational when I was playing.

Awesome to see people completing their teams, and some looking extremely good. Cheers.

No problems I guess Riggins. Hope your family is doing ok. Someone stepped up and helped out with your team. Cheers.

Whom do I pick, the all time great captain with the unfortunate sub 40 batting average, or the batsman with the batting average 10 points higher?

G.I.Joe

International Coach
Are you sure? :p Get personalities like Lara, Miller and Greig into the one room, and they'll need a whip to put them in their place.

That hurts, Joe... The others maybe ego maniacs but not the prince, no way.. ;)
Say what? They're all the same. They just react in different ways. When its apparent they're not the sole prima donnas of the team, Miller will just pretend he doesn't care anymore and play Microsoft flight simulator instead, Greig will try and get the ICL up and running again, and Lara will switch off his cellphone and sulk at home for a couple of years. :p

Screw the averages. He's a better cricketer than the other two batsmen anyway.

Excellent pick Joe! Don't undermine his batting. Don't undermine what he achieved using practically one functional eye.

I love this team. A better spinner would have helped, though.

Yeah, I had a chance to get Chandrasekhar earlier, but then I would have had to let go of Tony Greig. In retrospect I left the spinners slot empty for too long. A well established spinner would certainly have given the team an extra dimension. But then, it'd have meant a compromise in another department, so I can't really say that I regret it.

Over the last couple of rounds I was hoping I'd have the chance to pick this one spinner I had in mind for a long time, but I never got into position to do so. He's still unpicked as of now. I'm very happy with my pace attack and batting depth, though. I like almost all the players I have too, so that is a big plus. Tony Greig is the one player I have reservations about, but then there's no disputing his cricketing pedigree, so I'll just have to get along with him in a Shane Watson sort of way. :p
