 Who cares really.

Continue to bite, and he'll continue to fish.

Anyway, shall be a good tour. Will be a really big series for Sehwag and Gambhir. Both with clear points to prove.

Exactly so. Suspect sublte mischief making from SA. As good a series as SA/India has the potential to be, it doesn't quite have the history of yer Ashes.
Agreed.

But will be number 1 against number 2 in all probability.:)

Don't really see a major issue with it .

Whatever it takes!!!
Plus, it must not be so difficult to have a road to India from SA.. I mean, it just needs to be over the Indian Ocean, right? Our ancestors built one to SL, so I am sure if we put our minds to it, it should be achievable. :p

The highlight of this series will obviously be Steyn/Morkel/De Wet/Parnell/McLaren vs Sehwag. If the Saffies quick own him similarly to what happened in 2006/07 when he averaged 14 in that series. He can't be rated as one of games great openers - but rather a phenomenon on flat/Indian/sub-continental surfaces, similar to what Kumble was with the ball for much of his career.

Agree. Didn't do well in SA, Eng and NZ.

You know Sehwag's doing well for himself when people want him to fail in "certain" places so that they can apply "certain" tags on him... :D

If Sehwag does well, certain posters will find an excuse for it.
Well i wont. I have already seen improvements in his game this year, in which he is playing inswinging deliveries much better than before. WHich was highlighted when facing Steyn & Malinga (although on flat pitches)

Such improvements could argue well for this SA tour when he has to face
Steyn on pitches which the ball will be moving alot. But i still suspect Steyn & co will expose him. All makes for one of the most exciting player (Steyn vs Sehwag) vs player matches in recent history, comparable to Tendy vs Warne, McGrath vs Lara

Only on CW would people want to bring down Sehwag's achievements.
No one 'wants to bring down" anything Viru has done. Its just putting it into proper perspective. Plus i have seen Sehwag critqued on planetcricket.com & many other erudite cricket fans who dont go on cricketchat forums.
