Yeah, I know. Would still be so ftw.
Would so lolworthy if it happened because of the confusion with the runner.

Even if Christian misses it they'll just run a bye to the keeper. He's probably better off leaving it unless it's right on the stumps - if he hits it to a fielder he might get out. Keiswetter has no chance of hitting the pegs.

The sensible approach would be for Christian to retire hurt and Corky to finish the job.

Odds on a wide? Stranger things have happened...

Bedwetter's come up? Winning runs are byes then.

Nuh, leg bye by the sounds of it. Hants win.

Haha I want to see that again; I reckon it was plumb tbh
UDRS wouldn't have overturned it, I don't think. Looked a lot more adjacent in real time.

Bloody South Africans choking that up, made it interesting at least. Well pleased for Hampshire's youth policy and Corky, who is an absolute legend.

Christian ended up running anyway even with Vince out to run for him - so Somerset could have run him out at any time and won it.

(a) did they realise? (I didn't, and my law knowledge is pretty sound)
(b) did they decide that wasn't the right way to win?

What would you have done?

Would've run him out. Don't think a technical rule application is a worse way to decide the final than losing fewer wickets.

I'd have failed the "You're The Umpire" there; I didn't know Christian was out of his ground.

Isn't he supposed to be Aboriginal, btw? Don't much look it, tbf.
