Well it costs the team runs when he's batting. Also given the rigorous schedule of international cricket he's more liable to get tired, injured etc.

There's just no excuse really for not getting fit.
There were several instances in that last run chase that could - would - have been twos with a player like Carberry alongside Hussey, and that could have made a winning difference.

Still, if someone told you there was an England place for you if you could lay off the pasties, then it doesn't say a lot for your self discipline that you can't cut down.

Hmm a lot more eventful at the end though.

I guess Pollard isn't going to be able to field/bowl. You'd think Hampshire have a real chance now after that last over.

Soooooo cool watching Cork. Makes me think of when I was a kid playing in the back garden with my brother and him doing those massive X-shaped appeals.

Awesome last over. Amazing he's able to pin Pollard that way at his age. Hope Pollard is okay.

Alfonso Thomas is just a little bit good at this T20 bowling lark isn't he?
Hampshire's to lose from here though.

Somerset would've **** this in if Compton had taken that catch. And it didn't even really seem like that at the time.
