Anyone else think that it's a little bit dodgy for Dwayne Bravo to be playing on finals day for Essex without playing a single game for them beforehand?

Also, Cook looks painfully out of nick - but we knew that.

Amazing what a few overs of leg stump half-track can do for you, isn't it?

I know it's been said before, but Michael Bates' glovework is a bit special. That leg-side take off Cork was extraordinary.

EDIT: Danny Briggs proving that the Isle of Wight does produce the odd useful cricketer and that they don't always produce sides that leak 380 runs in 40 overs to Herefordshire.

Briggs singled-handedly keeping Hampshire in the hunt, had a hand in all of the first four wickets. Looks the goods. Impressed with Bates behind the stumps as well..

:laugh: at Bravo. As Nasser said, he'd better bowl really well to justify bringing him in.

Appreciate I'm talking to myself but I enjoyed that run out a great deal. Sloppy, lazy, careless from the imports and briliiant from the kids.

Didn't realise there was cricinfo commentary. Shall juggle that along with the Premiership text commentary on the BBC through the afternoon :)

Not a great over here from Wood - coming up a little bit short in the mind games with Foster. That was from the Steve Harmison book of wides.

Delighted to be through to the final, anoying that I will be at work for it though.

Danny Briggs has been great the whole tournament, great to see the young lads doing well again.

Yeah, seems to be taking the concept of 'horses for courses' beyond acceptable limits.

Long time since I've seen a pro cricket game finish in those conditions. Takes me back to an ODI against the Aussies in 1977, although that was even worse.
