Andy McKay to blast these guys off the pitch ftr.

EDIT: After actually looking at the score, I stand by my prediction. You'll see.

lets just hope Kane picks up a couple here so he doesn't get too down on his confidence

New Zealand have been completely out played by Sri Lanka, with both bat and ball. The heroes from the first game couldn't backup and the failures from the first game failed again.
Sri Lanka have looked great. They've been in total control for the entire game.

Lol, and right on cue from the above post we've gone from 1/95 to 3/119

Sri Lanka have always been top heavy with the batting. Granted, this one looks like one of their better balanced sides but we have four Mills overs and a million overs of spin/Styris medium pacers to go.

Not panicking quite yet.

Ha Ha! Styris and McCullum trying to sledge Tharanga. Few teams were at receiving ends after stirring the Lankans. NZ might get a back lash.

and theres the 7th wicket. Get Samaraweera and this could be very interesting. Good to see them go after the bonus point.

 This will be among the very worst of all collapses if Sri Lanka somehow loses this. I still favour them at the moment, but Mills seems to be bowling well.

Good shot from Kapugedera. Why the hell is he in at No.9? Injury?

Maybe in the event of a collapse in the pursuit of the bonus point?
But wouldn't you just put your best batsman of the ones you have left out there to try and knock off the runs, instead of promoting the less-capable batsmen. Kapugedera can still score pretty quickly, anyway.

We were 50 runs short in the end.

Well done Sri Lanka, systematically dismantled us and never looked like losing.

I am well known on CricketWeb for my cool, calm nature.
I tip my hat to your cool and calmness, sir! I was a little quick out of the blocks. Sri Lanka certainly tried their damnedest to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory! A collapse of epic proportions.

Even though it's debatable whether it would have made a difference to the outcome of this game or not, questions need to be asked about the strange NZ team selection for this game.
They replaced the injured Oram with Southee when Styris could have, and indeed did, take over Oram's bowling duties.
NZ essentially played two 3rd seamers (Southee and McKay) at the expense of a batsman.
