Done something similar in FM07, took Helsinborgs Sodra from the Swedish 2nd division into the Champions League, and then finished 3rd and got to the last 16 of the UEFA Cup.

Ha, that would be too much of a challenge, considering a) how awesome the squad is, b) how much talent is in the U19s and c) now that I've broken even by flogging Aguero for £44m, the new manager would have about £200m to buy players...

Took the Spain job after del Bosque was finally sacked. Might give it one more year at Atleti, then concentrate fully on preparing for Euro 2016.

Just started a new game on FM2010 (finally got around to installing it), playing as Aston Villa. Screamed through pre-season, winning all our matches, and we also won our UEFA Cup qualifier 7-3 on aggregate, which is promising. However, erratic league form (P3, W1, D1, L1) early on, which I'm slightly concerned about, especially as I put Milner up for sale in a fit of pique. A good result at Eastlands against Citeh would be useful.

Initial transfer budget was £7m, made my initial purchases by selling Maxi Rodriguez for £20m and Simao for £12m. Got given extra cash in October which funded Dzeko.

What I tend to do in FM is maintain a squad of 22-23 players, making sure I've got at least 1 player who can back up the first choice player, plus my group of U19s. Anyone who's surplus to requirements gets sold.

Have raked in £43.5m for Dzeko, £33m for Gourcouff (6 months after signing him as a Bosman), £15m for Camacho and £44m for Aguero in the last year alone. In terms of transfer dealings, I've actually made a £31m profit over my career at the club.

Although having typed out the squad, I have put a hell of a lot of faith in my younger players this season. And at the moment, anyone who can play up front is injured. Maybe I should have punted Galvan instead of Aguero...

I never sell them either, as despite Theo having relatively poor stats he always seems to play really well. And Clichy....well, is one of the best left backs on the game (somewhat unrealistically) so never bother selling him either.

Brentwood now in League 2. Simon Poulsen is my current star, but some 21 year old Dutch striker I signed for $40k from Heracles is tearing up. He's got 16 shooting, 16 heading and 15 pace and he's just too good for League 2.

Haha yeah. Play Theo as an AMR attacking winger. Has horrific crossing stat (lol) but is always causing having. Has scored 2 in the first 12 minutes of his first preseason game.
