Bandara's having a lean time of it at Kent, wicketless against Somerset and outbowled by Rob Key today as Trescothick declined to set a target.

Yep, not really happy about this, no harm done. I guess, but it all seems a bit gutless. Very odd that Warwickshire got the only win in div one.

Very exciting finish to the season coming up, it looks like. plenty of potential winners:)

Find it a bit baffling that Gloucester didn't enforce the follow-on. There were 48 overs plus a full day left with a 202 run lead. You're not going to end up realistically chasing more than 150 really and time may be a factor in that. So you might lose slightly more often, but you'd win significantly more by enforcing the follow-on. The points system and table emphasise the importance of winning for Gloucester.

Worcestershire blocking it now. If they block out 110-120 overs when they follow-on they still lose. Block out 102 overs now and they draw the game.

Why is Wes Durston allowed to play CB 40 cricket for Derbyshire when he has already played in the same competition for the Unicorns?

Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a special rule for ex-Unicorns players anyway, since the whole purpose of the exercise is to give them the chance to be seen and snapped up by county teams

Top effort to get Sussex out for 217 on the usually run-filled Guildford track, even if we did let them come back from 47-5. Lancefield now opening with Harinath, I like that, never agree with keepers opening in f-c cricket, and Sussex giving a debut to Surrey-born William Adkin. Perhaps Zaremba can tell us something about him?

I'm pleased to see Elton Chigumbura seems to be well up to Div 2 standard - has anybody seen anything of him?

Saw him bowl at the Oval last month - seemed to be a bowler of decent pace and not the dobber I'd had him down for. Don't see him running through sides but he'll chip in with the odd wicket or two and better than that in the limited-over stuff.

Darren Sammy is a similar player and another who I think could be a success in county cricket.
