 Michael Lumb. Put on an epic partnership with Carbs yesterday, putting on 314 together. Hopefully Lumby'll kick on from here, make some big runs and get himself a place in the T20 side for Finals day. Could do with Adams and Lumb firing at the top of the order.

Oh well Notts will beat Yorkshire this week (weather permitting) and end our title hopes. Not too down though as it has been a very good season that has far exceeded my expectations.

Well done Hussey on a run a ball ton too, some effort.

I think the trouble with Davies is he performs consistently to a high level, whilst rarely being a standout. Like today he gets 88 off 63, but then another guy gets 115 off 69. His conversion rate (50s > 100s) isn't great. When he was playing in with the A team/Lions he was good but was getting outscored by Kieswetter. Unless you have some Saffie background going for you then there's not the head-turning innings to get the selectors on your side.

Should obviously be playing international cricket for England anyways.

Did I hear that Phillip Hughes has signed for Hampshire? Good player of course, but I'd hardly have thought that an opening batsman was their most pressing need. They have three in the side already.

Dalrymple doesn't appear keen to bowl himself. Wonder why?
Funk I'd have said. Although given his first (and probz only) over went for 17 he might have a point.

It must be almost hypnotic watching him run in to bowl like that. I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw someone that size playing pro cricket.
One knows he's big from previous viewings, but everytime I see him his sheer ampleness always manages to be breathtaking.

He actually bowled fair lick for a fat lad tho, it must be said. Upper 70s mph.

Oh, skipper. D'oh.

Ramps still finding the gaps, 50 off 32 balls. I was a little disappointed that Spriegel came in ahead of Jason Roy, but tbf he's played his part too.

Have been keeping an eye hoping Surrey would get 400+, just because it would be kinda funny. Also been doing my word study when this anagram came up just now:

AFGHLSU

Which of course anagrams to GASHFUL. I missed it unfortunately.
