Flintoff was supposed to come back today.... but has instead been ruled out for the rest of the season (Y).

Hoggard and Malik with 4 each against Debyshire who are on the ropes.

Rashid at the crease with Yorkshire 89/5, will be a big test for him this.

Michael Lumb is actually getting runs!

Is excellent to see him getting runs in any form of the game given the season he has had, let alone in the championship. looks like that break has done him some real good.

193 for 1, assuming the pitch is rather different to the last time we played Durham in Basingstoke.

Hildreth looks set for another ton I see!

He's scoring just as much away from Taunton now and always scores at a very good rate.

Deary me, know we are picking Luke Sutton ahead of Chanders...and still Darren Powell playing.

Worst thing is it pretty much means our youngsters must be gash

Probably think he's in form after a similar pinch hitting role in the T20 quarter final (he scored something like 30 off 15).

Fair enough if there were 6 or 7 overs left and they wanted him to bat in the power play, but with so much time left in the innings didn't really make sense. He produced a couple of clean strikes for boundaries but was out of his depth and looked it, his dismissal was a shocker.

But then considering Lancs are resting seemingly half their side for the County Championship I guess someone has to bat at 6...

Don't want to jinx him, but Joyce looking in very good nick for Sussex here. Looks a classy performer and wouldn't rule him completely out of England contention just yet. Reminds me of a left handed Ian Bell, especially on the drive.

Mean that as a complement, by the way.

Liking Onions behind the mic too; speaks well and talks a lot of straightforward sense and is surprsingly candid for a current pro. Said when he'd seen Joe Gatting before he didn't look to have much about him, which is admirably frank.

Whoops!

My interest in the game dropped significantly upon his dismissal.
Yeah, was mildly silly shot too. Was too far to fetch for the sweep.

..though watching Stephen Parry bowl is interesting.
Yeah, like the cut of his jib. Can't be too far away from England honours, IMHO. Tredwell's all well and good, but nice to have a spinner who turns it the other way to your main performer in reserve.

I must say I enjoyed the 'Top Trumps' segment of the commentary earlier!

Bumble has the ability to make me laugh out loud at times!

Hampshire has brought in Phillip Hughes untill the end of the season, not dissapointed with him at all, think he should score a lot of runs but it really is the part of the side that needed strenghthening the least.

Be interesting to see who drops down to 3 or whether Hughes himself will play there.
