Tests in England do seem to be more often than not the most enthralling.

South Africa, Australia and New Zealand also have most of the time some good fair Test pitches. Sri Lanka and India usually have one stellar pitch a series but the tarmac roads really let them down overall.

Kaneria will play a big part in this series, Salman Butt needs to use him well and keep backing the leggie. Once he gets into the groove he will be a handful, it really is such a confidence thing with leg spinners. Kaneria really suffering right now, bowling way too quick.

Not really, Ajmal has hardly looked threatening in tests, he does not bowl smartly in the longer format of the game, was negotiated with pretty easily.
