When Pakistan toured New Zealand at the end of last year Waqar was commentating for Sky and he keeped bringing that up too, he said that if he was working with him he'd get him to bowl closer to the stumps.

Really surprised he hasn't changed that yet tbh.

That's a fair point, but what annoys me is (and Kamran's not the only one to have done this) that they're absolutely adamant they've caught it. There's no way he could have been sure.

for the love of God.. Ashoka De Silva.. is this the best ICC could do for such an important tournment of the year.. he is one of the worst umpires in the history of cricket.. the ****ing guy is blind haha

every team deserve 6 UDrs now that De Silva is the Umpire..

Apparently Tiny Tim does it in the nets, so his big outswingers actually take the edge, and then when he gets out to the middle he reverts back to his normal wide of off stump tripe.

Oh yeah for sure, but no different to guys who are adamant they didn't hit it when they hit the cover off it.

In any event, that's the sort of thing the review system is designed to fix.

Has been OK today from what I've seen of today's play.

Well Akmal might have thought he may have caught that, but there is no way he was 100% sure of it. In that case the best thing to do is just tell the umpire you aren't so sure, it doesn't reflect so bad on you, especially considering you dropped a sitter.

He doesn't move it much, but he moves it enough. If you don't move it much you're going to really struggle to get lbws bowling from a wide angle.

My theory is he has a tendency to do a smelly fart as he's approaching his delivery stride. It's not an issue when he's in the nets, but when it's a game and there's an umpire standing there, it's an altogether different story. He wouldn't want to get in the umpire's bad books by unleashing something foul right next to the guy.
