Not liking the lobbying going on on certain members' Public Messages here, surely that really is against the spirit of the thing? I count at least 6 votes for Sachin lobbied for in this... Plus I've noticed a few more PMs have been sent too. Surely a breach of Law 42?

Not that any amount of lobbying for Mike Garnham would have gained him any more votes, but still.

Where did i lobby for anyone?

I just asked the members to vote in this thread and two of them voted for warne too.

These are probably two of my favourite cricketers and wanted more members to participate.

Btw, what is law 42?

Btw, people in this thread previously have openly lobbied for players ,even jokingly saying we riot if he loses and please vote for that player for me.
Even exchanging old favours for a vote in this. It's all in the spirit of the comepetition and good natured.

Hmmm. Very, how should I say, targetted selection of whom to message from what I can tell - though I obviously haven't checked every profile.

Law 42 of Cricket is called 'Fair & Unfair Play' and is a bit like enshrining the Spirit of Cricket within the laws.

Pretty much targetted everyone who was online and hadn't already voted.

Btw,how would i know who will vote for whom?Neither i asked anyone to vote for anyone in particular ?
I also asked people in the scorecard draft thread to vote here irrespective.

I am asking registered members to vote, not registering accounts to vote which would be against law 42.

I don't think posting something in this thread justifying why you want to vote for a particular player is quite the same as sending unsolicited messages to people, in my opinion.

I think if you were registering duplicate accounts to make a vote, that might be a breach of the Forum's no-ball rules. 3 of 'em and you'll be taken out of the bowling attack for the rest of the innings, I reckon.

Tendulkar one of my top 3 players like Lara and Gilchrist. So I'll vote for him but man Warne is not far behind in my fav list.

Tend to agree with the sentiments of Heath, for what its worth.

Richie.
