Vettori over Bravo EASILY. Butt over Barath EASILY. Would go for Ajmal over Benn as well.

Gayle, Butt, Sarwan, Chanderpaul. U. Akmal, McCullum(wk), Vettori (c), Aamer, Ajmal, Roach, Asif would like better.

If MoYo and Younus makes a comeback, Sarwan and Akmal will give away.

BTW, WI are not as good as you think WindieWeathers! Give respect to other teams as well.
So i take it you haven't seen other people disrespecting WI? :unsure: as i said it's all about opinions, i don't agree with your team selection but you know what? it's no big deal, but others seem to get emotional when i express my own views and that's rather childish imo.

Migara I actually asked WW to name his XI's for WI, Pak, NZ so we could see why exactly he rates WI higher. I was thinking he would name an XI for each country. I know what I wrote wasn't worded great so he picked a combined XI. I didn't include Bangladesh so that's why he didn't pick Iqbal, Shakib etc. Not certain he would have anyways though.

How about you change. The majority of the forum find your posting style offensive and extremely anti-social.
Another one speaking for others i see!! 8-) , i'll repeat it again for the millionth time, if you don't like my posts you can always ignore them.

And it's funny how you talk about "anti-social" when it's YOU who's running around the forum telling people to "shut up", not me.

I can't ignore you because people keep quoting you. I do try my best.

As for telling you to shut up, I'm only trying to help you. Honest.

And save our eyes.

Tell me, does your online attitude cross over to your real life?

I sincerely hope not.

You would actually be decent to talk to if you weren't obnoxious. You've got lots of enthusiasm and love for the game. It is a shame. West Indian posters are usually excellent.

Telling people to "shut up" is rude no matter how you try to spin it, there won't be any issues if people stop getting emotional and debate me in civil manner, people might think i'm a "villain" but the truth is i merely create discussion, which is exactly what this place is for.

This started off as quite an interesting thread. It's sad, really. :(
Well to be honest I think it's clear Pakistan are the best. I'd also say that I'd put NZ a relatively comfortable 2nd and Bangladesh are still last, but definitely improving. If it were ODI's I'd say they're a lot closer to the pack (but then again NZ wouldn't be in this grouping!)

Batting order last two years

Bowling Order last two years
1) Pakistan

3) Bangers
4) WI
Ranking points - lowest score being best
Pak = 1 + 2 = 3
NZ = 2+3=5
WI = 1+4=5
Bangers = 3+4=7

Repeating the same analysis for the last 12 months

Bowling last 12 months

Ranking last 12 months (lowest score best)
NZ 2+2=4
Pakistan 4+1=5
Bangers 1+4=5
WI 3+3=6

Conclusion - I don't think you can look at the last 12 months as it isn't enough time and it does exclude WI's victory over England. So I think the 24 month analysis is a better indicator of team strength. But the 12 month analysis does show that WI is not on the rise and that Bangers are.

In the last 12 months we've played Aus away and Sa (number two ranked side) at home with half our best players missing, in that time frame from what i remember Bang has played England twice and maybe NZ, all of which they lost, and Pak has played Aus twice, if we're being honest WI has had the harder competition in the last 12 months.

I understand Pak are the "flavor of the month" right now because it looks like they might level the series with Aus, but until they actually win a series against one of those top sides like we did last year then i still don't believe they should be rated better than us.

Agreed, the rules change if we're talking ODI's

Pakistan a clear best of the rest currently.

They are currently playing the best cricket out of the four teams, and look most likely to prove a constant threat going into the future. The batting is a shambles, but having arguably the strongest bowling attack in the world makes them a very formidable side. I really hope they give both Amin and Ali an extended run in the side. Having a couple of solid middle-order batsman will go a long way to bringing Pakistan to amongst the top sides again.

So playing zero games at home, five of which have been against Australia and three against New Zealand (who have always been a lot harder to beat at home) doesn't count for anything? Surely just playing Australia away from home five times at least equates to what the Windies have gone up against in the past year.

And why is that if you don't mind me asking? Drawing a test series against Australia is mightily impressive, espeically whilst playing abroad. Pakistan have played three test series away from home in the last 6-8 months, drawing two of them and losing one, until the West Indies start picking up results (even just the odd win) away from home I can't see how you could rate them higher.

You're having a laugh!! :laugh: , firstly it could be argued that them playing in England actually HELPS their pace attack, i'm not sure the tracks in Pak are as conducive to fast bowling as those in England, they've also got support from the Pakistan community in England too, secondly in Sa we probably faced the top side out there right now, Aus might be a force but it's clear they are on the wane, so no i don't agree that they've had it just as tough as us lately.
