Well it would be handy if he could at least scrounge together a 50 partnership when the team are 120/6. Brett Lee wasn't half the batsman Johnson is, and he did it regularly.

I would expect Gul to laser some yorkers down Smith's toes....see if he gets some reverse swing..but i reckon the ball may be a bit to old for that...

Don't think it has happened in this Test particularly. But I suppose it depends on a whole host of things.
The other benefit such an assault could have is it might take the best bowlers out of the attack.
