*Official* Australia vs Pakistan in England

Pakistan should move to England. Bowlers would average less than 10. So would the batsman though

Ricky Ponting's another blunder....but don't worry Ricky....Pak batting will rescue you..

Is that the lowest ever total by an Australian side against Pak?

88 all out. Nuff said.

Sad to see Paine get out chasing quick runs, he looked comfortable compared to the other batsmen.

Modern batsman = overrated.

Headingley is an old-fashioined seam bowlers pitch which modern batsman almost never play on. Would be surprised to see Pakistan do much better in their innings.

This is the 1st time Aussie has been dismissed for such a low score after 20 years...

Last time it was against the Kiwis back in 1990 [ 111 ]

Your second point may well be right, but Headingley not what it used to be. This has been truly spectacular stuff from Pakistan, and you have to wonder what they'll do to England's batters in a few weeks time.

Pakistan have been excellent, not taking anything away from them.

Their real test is the batting however.

Cricinfo's

"That is, incidentally, the lowest score by a team electing to bat first since 1957"

stat even more interesting.

Oh and hopefully England might actually play straight when they face Pakistan. Definitely showed up modern batting. I want a Boycott rant.

I honestly hope Oz get soundly beaten here as it's the only hope (and a very feint one at that) we have of the selectors changing a batting lineup that clearly isnt good enough

Seriously, the amount of times he's been burnt by batting against the conditions from the toss have to outweigh the amount of times he's been burnt bowling with the conditions by now? He doesn't have a Langer and to a lesser extent Hayden to see through the tough early stages, nor is he in form to assert himself against what is probably the best opening seam combination in test cricket.

What would be really disappointing if nothing comes out of this, either in Ponting's thinking, or in team composition.

Wow. What an amazing record that is.
Not when you consider that we were rolled for 127 a couple of months ago and have been collapsing regularly for the last few years

This lineup is ordinary

Watto averages less than 40 - when was the last time an "established" Oz opener averaged so little

Ponting is surviving on reputation

Hussey is hit and miss these days

North is worse

Only 2 reliable batsmen we have are Katich (who rarely converts) and Clarke
