Problem is that the total is so small that even if Bangladesh bat badly they'll probably still get there.

Yeah, I'm not best placed to comment on Zimbabwe's batting ability against spin but considering the number of spinners they often have in the side and the lack of any real genuine pace bowlers in the country I'd have thought they must be quite adept at playing spin. Even if not to the same level of Bangladesh, I'd have thought at the very least that they'd be competent.
Wasn't prepared to comment on Ireland. Especially now McCallan's retired :(
There is meant to be strong word that Kyle McCallan is to come out of retirement for the World Cup, he only retired because of the illness his father had, and with his father better or getting there, he is meant to be interested...

I wonder why on earth Porterfield chose to bat with so much rain around- it's the same pitch and similar conditions as yesterday when bowling first worked perfectly. 30/3 after ten doesn't look too good. Niall O'Brien absolutely crucial.

I just couldn't make sense of this either, why would we not bowl first, like we always do, seems very strange to me...

Shakib strikes..who else but Shakib..
but Netherlands might take this today..
Bangladesh is make it increasingly difficult for us to argue for its improvement and development.

Dutch win... O wow... 3 Upsets with in 2 weeks. B.Desh Beat Eng, Ire best B.Desh & now NTL defeat B.Desh... Nice to see that... Welcome to the ODI table Netherlands... Definitely the most deserved team after Ireland:-)

I knew Bangladesh were having issues, but to lose 2 out of 3 games to the associates does not say good things about them.

Not Terrible
Rain affected which is never ideal but it looks like the Dutch earned it tbh. Chasing 200 in 30 overs is no small thing.

Was at the match today. Frustrating wait for the outfield to dry but then a good match in the end. Bangladesh threatened to run away with it in the beginning, RR of nearly 10 an over during the initial powerplay. The Dutch hauled it back though with sharp fielding taking some good outfield catches. Then a great innings from Swarczinsky first up followed by an equally good one from Baresi. Both looking really assured against anything Bangladesh could throw at them , taking good singles and occasionally going for the big hits. Two consecutive straight sixes over the bowler's head effectively sealing the match.

Word on the ground was that the Bangladesh team had to catch a flight to London at 9PM, so they may have been distracted a bit. Still a great result for the Dutch and the best thing for me was how pofessional and unfazed they looked chasing down that total.

Believe Kerveezee (sp?) is Dutch by upbringing despite the SA birth.

Couple of suspiciously anglophone surnames in there tho.

Still, global game and what's sauce for the goose, etc.
