*Official* Australia vs Pakistan in England

Are you talking about results though or ability?
A combination of both, put in a proper context. A draw in the 40s was obviously more acceptable than a draw in the 00s. My take is, If I had to have a cricket team(Which played together) take the field playing for my life, I would definitely pick the Invincibles.

Faisal1985,..this is the reason I had predicted an innings defeat....being positive is alright but there is a fine line between being positive and being unrealistic.

MCC Spirit of Cricket test series scipt: Test 1

-Pakistan win the toss and send Australia in to bat
-After a reasonably good start, Australia collapse massively
-At the start of day 2, Pakistan faff about while Hussey and Bollinger add another 10 or so runs
-Pakistan bat and do a Pakistan'. They are all out for less than 200.
-Australia bat again and get 350-400. Clarke tons up.
-Pakistan flail around again and lose by 200 or so runs.

Sounds about right to me.
Pretty much on track.

Rather disappointed. Was hoping Pakistan would follow up that good performance with the ball. I knew the batting was weak but hoped it would be stronger than this. Bring back Younis and Yousuf!!

Even if that team had to face a side like SA of today would you not be just a little bit worried?

Haha what?

You reckon todays SA team would get close to the invincibles? Spare me days. The Invincibles would destroy them ffs.

Anyway, well played Salman Butt, a good test match knock - he does seem to perform well against us on a reasonably consistent basis.

And well bowled Watson too. Been a good spell this, even though he got slogged a bit - late swing and all. Shows how handy all rounders are when they add a dimension like this to an attack.

I'd back the Invincibles to take a home series(5 tests) 3-0 and away series, 3-1 in fact.

and It's a generally accepted fact that test cricket has become more result oriented and professional. Previously, A team's goal was to win the series without bothering too much about the number of draws/wins. Now, each match is seen as an individual event with the essential objective of winning.
