Not up to the batsmen anymore apparently.Willis is a great summariser, his miserablist rants are great entertainment, but his droning voice isn't right for commentary, IMHO.
Not sure Oz going off is the right tactic, the weathers going to be like this every day, and this'll just keep Amir fresh. Who is awesome, BTW.
New rules, batsmen have no say.Willis is a great summariser, his miserablist rants are great entertainment, but his droning voice isn't right for commentary, IMHO.

This. The batsmen have no say in it.Not up to the batsmen anymore apparently.
Yea but look at Katich's strike rate. I know its not easy batting in these conditions against good pace bowling...but still that's too low.Watson can indeed score quickly, but on this pitch Watson's strokeplay will always offer the bowler hope. Katich has been much more watchful and has proved to be much more difficult to remove, not to mention his current form in Test cricket. A crucial wicket, and would have thought Pakistan would have preferred his scalp in that morning session.
Don't forget this is a Test match, while a career strike rate of 46 is not special, he has the capacity to bat all day, and into tomorrow, should he do that you expect Australia to be in a very good position, and him to be will into three figures.Yea but look at Katich's strike rate. If it's the first day of the series, with overcast conditions against a very good new ball attack who by all accounts are bowling very well, it would hardly matter if he was 0 off 46 balls tbh, as long as he's still in there. Give it time and the runs will come, especially given the recent reputation of the Lord's pitch as a flat track.Yea but look at Katich's strike rate.
