*Official* Bangladesh in England

Shahzad gone, Broad in. We're effectively screwed. If Trott had batted properly we'd have probably needed just 20 to win from here. The way he's constructed his innings has put these lower order boys under unnecessary pressure to score.
You think? IMO it has been a fine innings. It is being well paced. England can get close and then make a run at it.

Being well paced? He's striking at 59 in a One Day International on a good wicket against Bangladesh. If he'd been consistently around a respectable strike rate, like say, 80, we'd have been almost home. He's been far too defensive, struggled to rotate the strike and not been able to find the boundaries. If, and it's a big if, he manages to get us home, I'll give him some praise, but if we end up losing, he's as much to blame as Kieswetter, Strauss and any of the others. He could have taken so much pressure off this run chase just by batting properly. If he's capable of knocking the ball around and scoring at close to a run a ball now, why couldn't he do it 25 overs ago?

If Mortaza's going to bowl this straight all the time, they can very easily pick off 6 singles in an over down to long-on. Think FFS.

England will haul this in using the PP I reckon. Don't think we've got the composure or the class to do this.

Not like anyone else has looked fluent since the shine went of the ball, just all the others have given their wicket away whilst Trott hasn't (Collie & Yardy both scored slower than Trott). Seems the only reason we are still in this is Trotts innings

Shot Broady. Shouldn't be taking as much strike as he's getting, Trott should be taking responsibility, but if he continues to play shots like that then it's all good. Still slightly nervous here, especially if Trott continues to struggle to find the boundary.

Pretty good time for Broad to rediscover a semblance of form with the bat TBH. Starting to look a little bit more than a No.10 (as he did in his brief stop-offs at the wicket against Oz) now. Hope he can keep this going, both in the context of this match and regaining some batting confidence for matches in the near future.

I agree with Beefy - for once - would have had Bell before Anderson.

Unless he's not going to bat, of course.
