Battle of Cricketers - CW's Favorite Cricketer

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
Rahul Sharad Dravid.

The way he stamped his authority in his first NZ tour, he is a champion champion player. I can see Dravid bat all day, all five days. The loop in his defense..... ooooh.

Gower, for me. Glorious to watch and as equally smooth in the presenter's chair. Sir Viv, rather like his old mucker ITB, takes stating the obvious to new and scary places with his pundits hat on.

Ouch.

Anyway, Gower, of course. I expect him to lose this particular bout and it's hard to begrudge King Viv his victory, but watching Gower bat really was something else.

Can't stand his commentary though. Half-baked thoughts, no real analysis, irritating verbal tics (starting sentences with "again", and saying "garn" instead of "gone")
