These four run overs off Paul Collingwood hurt my head.
I reckon. Not as irritating as that 2-run over from Wright which should've been about 15... that was really unlucky, that.

And again. Third time Clarke's been denied a 4 by freakish (occasionally non-human) fielding.

This pitch is flat. Look how easy Ponting is chipping the field - I know an in-form Ponting can make any pitch look flat, but... 300 is a must.

Tait on this pitch will be good though, 'cause with him the pitch is irrelevant.

I wish the commentators would shut up about the PP - in case they haven't noticed we've got 40-50/5 overs without it.

By not scoring off that final delivery, Ponting's SR went below 100!

Decent score on the cards, hopefully now.

Still don't quite get this oz side, three wickets down at the Oval in the 44th over, surely they should of been looking at 350 plus.

No fault of Ponting/Clarke during the 25th over onward, we were crawling through 10-20.

Over 20 81/2 2 4.05 2.20

Ive hardly watched a ball of this series until today. What is the deal with the England players having "England" on their backs rather than their names?

Agree with Beefy, v.poor batting during the powerplay, hitting it to fielders, taking easy singles not going over the top at all despite the fact we have shedloads of wickets in hand.

This is the area that we've been so poor in since Symonds left.

That was some **** powerplay batting.

Even if Australia win, that doesn't change anything.
First over was the main one. Losing Ponting = bad, then White decides to block and Clarke picks out the fielder.

Don't think it changes nothing though, at least we weren't impossibly terrible in the middle overs again.

White gone - never looked right IMO.

Sent in under grey skies and now batting under blue for the last half

Probably get 290 which, under the circumstances, not bad

May not be enough if conditions remain the same

Good over from Broad. England have been quite good these last 10, no one seems to like these slow bouncers.

 Quality running, relying on Clarke to smack some boundaries in the last 2 now. What's looking like a par score out there? Only just turned on.

That's the 5th time Clarke's absolutely smashed it at a fielder.

Just realised that I must really hate Clarke now as even though he's almost a hundred, I wish he wasn't there...18 off his last 16 balls at the death is terrible....while Smith faces 3 balls for two 4's...
