Yay, Bres, he really does do the job with the bat.

Strauss MOTM? low-scorer, for some reason, after all.

Good match, well done England...totally outplayed the Aussies so far in this series...aussie "first string" batsmen need to get their act together as the "2nd string" bowling attack did pretty well considering

Maybe Ponting doesn't want to vist England anymore lol

England should not have made it so tough for themselves, nevertheless, exciting finish to an ordinary game.

Although I would like to question how and when Broad became so rubbish with the bat. Fully deserves to be No.10 on that basis.
On the basis of missing a good yorker when he was new to the crease, out of match practice with the bat, and under pressure? Harsh is an understatement.

Sorry, heat-of-the moment rant there. Will delete immediately. Was a cracking yorker TBF.

Random question but just something I noticed, was Watson signing the autographs left-handed? Just curious, as it seemed odd that he'd write left-handed given that he's a right-handed bowler and batsman?

In all this excitement, the little issue of Brian 'The Greatest' Lara representing MCC today in a T20 game was forgotten.

Gee, thought "Australianism" was going to claim another victim. They are amazing fighters when they're staring down the barrel, can't deny them that, but the series is ours!

Said earlier in the thread that it was taking a complete back seat. Got in for the last two overs and Bres put a tiny smile on my face. Fair play.

Are we moving in the right direction or have we caught Oz in a fallow period?

The choke from 180 odd for 4 to 200 odd for 9 shows we aren't there yet, but encouraging signs anyway.

BTW, Sir A, how did Tait bowl?:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:
****ing awesome, really was brilliant stuff. Pretty accurate, most of his wide ones they missed due to the pace and action. However, the commentators raised a good point, you do want him to be bowling longer spells.

Well, thinking of the only 50 over comp that matters, the world cup, i think we are, colly bowling practically as a spinner.

Tbh there are four England players I wouldn't pick, but we're winning, so who gives a fig:)

Yeah he bowled well.. but I can't recollect saying he's a terrible one day bowler. So I don't know what social is trying to prove here.
