Ikki making a very impassioned case for Liverpool. Hmm. I don't like jumping on a bandwagon, but fan passion is totally important. I guess it's Liverpool vs. Newcastle vs. Spurs then.

Seriously..... Newcastle..... Only losing the argument because there is no Newcastle fans on here.... All the neutrals (ie not Liverpool/Spurs) agree. I couldn't hate you if you were a Newcastle fan, a Liverpool fan you'd be a mortal enemy.

Plus Liverpool fans whinge like b*tches over nothing, Newcastle fans have everything chucked at them and still laugh (ie insane managers, players fighting each other (carroll/taylor this year, Bowyer/Dyer in the past), a chairman that buys the club, then proceeds to hack off everyone, before spending 2 years trying to sell.... Not to mention renaming the stadium after his company!)

Just because I don't post on the football thread doesn't mean I don't follow all their results. Plus there's no tv coverage of the Championship over here.

What's the point of having the poll if you're going to ignore it? :p

Like? Pretty sure every club has it's whingers.

Also Matteh, we haven't won anything in 4 years. Also, counting things like UEFA super cup or Community shield is a bit of a stretch. We've won the UEFA cup and UCL that are titles of real note otherwise it's been 2 FA cups and 2 Carling cups (another somewhat small achievement) in the last 10 years. It ain't that much and saying we've won a cup a year is unrealistic. This is kinda funny as I am arguing basically how crap we've been, but we haven't been domineering at all IMO. It depends who you compare us to. Compare us to the best in England/Europe and we haven't done a whole lot. Compare us to Newcastle/Villa, yes we have.

There's 88 other league clubs for starters that would love that sort of trophy haul or even finals appearances. The way the top 4 describe that as disappointing is part of the reason why it's almost souless.
Christ, I'd even take a trip to Wembley for the FA Vase/Trophy about now (cue Haakon piping up that they play at Pride Park or somewhere).

Would go Fulham TBH. A well-run club with a current team greater than the sum of its parts (including an American), with a home ground that still feels like a football ground rather than a stadium. Having been to Craven Cottage a couple of times it has a real family feel to it with a genuine soul, and supporters who are enjoying and appreciating the ride the club's current success is bringing them, without the expectation that it will last forever or is somehow the club's right.

Just my two cents, obviously.

If i was going to support a premier league side, i would probably pick a lower mis table side who always have a chance of europe. Maybe Fulham, Blackburn or Bolton for a long shot.
If you want to see glory in the next few years, and a club on the up, then go for Man City. Loadsa money and will probably have some of the best players in the world in a couple of years.
Hell why not, go for Blackpool.
