Only confident on two tips. Broncos & Dragons. The other games could go either way.

Sorry but this really was a dud call imo. Called at the time with an emoticon too. 2 days after Origin, 5 day back up for the Broncos, inexperienced Broncos team coming up against one of the top packs in the comp. Was line ball at best.

Wish my avatar wasn't currently on the table with Vimes in the WC. Reckon I could have sucked you into a Penrith logo for the next month or so ;)

Really happy with this win. Broncos weren't at their best, but Suncorp is a tough place to get results.

What has Ben Teo been on lately? Looked like an absolute weapon at times tonight. Massive improvement.

This double header is a good idea but the crowd doesn't care at all about this second game (understandably I guess as they're mostly Broncos). Absolutely no atmosphere on the telly at least.

Was reading Steve Mascord's weekly Discord article on rleague.com (link) & he raised an interesing point. Suggests NSW selectors are too obsessed with size. Some truth in it, for me. Thoughts?

Just on Soward there's a perception rightly or wrongly that he can't defend, can't tackle, and only gets by at club level due to a highly organized defensive structure which shields him from alot of the work. The other perhaps more telling perception of him is that he doesn't perform in big games (last years finals being a prime example). He's got a monster long kicking game though. Probably the best in the comp. Would be handy behind a pack which will almost invariably be smashed.

At this point all I can think about the idea of picking him is **** it, he couldn't be worse.

Maybe, but Broncos usually win the game straight after Origin. It's the games without their Origin players and post Origin games where they struggle. However, they were definitely off the ball tonight, didn't play well at all. It could have been a different story if we weren't robbed of a deadest try in the first 10 minutes. Panthers might have won, but they didn't look like a side who is 2nd on the table. Should have put the Broncos away with the way we were playing.

That was definitely a garbage call. We got lucky there. That said you got the rub of the penalty count from that point on.

We were hardly at our best either. There are much worse things than coming to Suncorp, playing below par and coming away with a win.

Spot on imho. Couldn't be more the case. Obsession with huge, wide running back rowers in particular has been a bug-bear of mine for a few years now.

They really need to have the Broncos game as the 2nd game in the double header, and to start the double header at 6:30pm.

Reading in the paper today that Chris Heighington is ready to throw his lot in with England (his dad is from Durham) if the NSW selectors keep not picking him for Origin.

What a toilet game this is.. Honestly, not as bad as Parra-Cronulla last year, but the handling may be the worst in NRL history.

Juggernaut score first points after 60 minutes!

And by that, I don't mean after 8.30 pm on a Sunday night..

****ing **** team, hopeless.

Although Tahu needs to **** off to boxing if he wants to try breaking jaws.

Haha, how'd we win that? Expecting a rant Burgey, please don't disappoint :p
****ing unbelieveable. I just sat there and LOL'ed tbh.

It was the (K)night of miracles. Was an absolute toilet game, save for the last two minutes when, all of a sudden, both teams seemed able to hold onto the ball.

Was just a complete shower of ****e, the whole thing.

How funny was the look on the Parra blokes' faces when Newcastle jagged it?

Did think Paterson was off side in the lead up to Newcastle's try though.

Also showed how teams really cannot play in the wet weather these days - what about the lead up to half time - about 6 knock ons in 1 minute? Was like the Keystone Cops - loved Warren Smith's commentary - "For God's sake, blow the whistle and give them an early mark"!!!

But the real miracle was Justin Poore running hard. Not seen since August 2009. Yay him.

A post on LU mentioned that there was a guy on sportsbet who put $50 down on a 7 leg multi. Needed Parra 1-12 to win $90000. Imagine how he felt when the Knights went over for a dodgy try in the last minute

Round 15

Clapo 6
Brumby 6
Ausage 5
ripper 5
Burgey 5
alternative 5
Craig 5
morgieb 5
vic_orthdox 5
NUFAN 4
James90 4
Mister Wright 3

Clapo and Brumby head the charts this week as the only tipsters to correctly pick the Knights/Eels abomination. Most tipsters get 5 but Kyle's winning run is abruptly halted in the same week as his team's.

Overall

Ausage 63.4
NUFAN 62.3
Clapo 61.5
ripper 61.2
Burgey 60.3
alternative 60.2
Craig 59.3
Mister Wright 58.5
morgieb 58.3
James90 57.2
vic_orthdox 55.2
Brumby 55.1

Once more I edge the lead off Nufan, but the top of the table is looking tighter every day with ripper and Clapo moving to within 2 points of the lead. At the bottom Brumby pulls level with vic.
