Not if they lose to Chile and don't even get that far...Spain vs Brazil next round anyone?
I'd expect all the sides to beat Honduras. So if Chile get any sort of result against Switzerland then chances are Spain will have to beat Chile in the last game. That could be fun. If Chile beat Switzerland then Spain would have it in their own hands to top the group. Not if they lose to Chile and don't even get that far...
Spain in being massive flakes at the World Cup shocker!
Oh, Spain. I thought you were better than this now?
Absolutely. They're the CDMs of international football, with lightweight defending thrown in to the mix. Winning the Euros by default didn't change anything.Scaly to announce "I told you so" in 5...4...3...
Was my first thought tbhDraw v the US doesn't look quite so rank now, tbh.
Over-rated?Oh and despite the BBC commentators Switzerland weren't negative at all.
Spain had most of the ball, yet Switzerland were well worth their goal in the end. The Swiss played two proper forwards, they put men forward when they had the ball. Is it their fault they happened to play very well defensively and Spain are an over-rated bunch of prima donna cheats? Nope.
'sup same old argument with Beevs, good to see you again.Over-rated?
Their record going into the tournament was P48 W45 D2 L1 ffs, the core of their side plays for the best club side in the world.
And they lost to USA in the Confederations Cup and just lost to Switzerland. Anyone who has them down as even second favourites is living in cloud ****oo land - a lot of people had them even better than that.Over-rated?

Finally someone who speaks sense. The first week has been all 'aww, it's so defensive and dull'. Then someone wins with two shots on target and we're supposed to celebrate it?Well done to Switzerland and all, but they better now wise up and go out in the first round. Worst team to watch in the tournament, IMO.
