Tait's playing for Glamorgan tonight against Hampshire. Hopefully Lumb'll hit him for a few boundaries early and get a score. He's not been too flash since he came back from the WC.

He has been typical Lumb, fairly useless in the county championship.

Should get a few runs in this though I guess.

 Epic start. 18/3. Croft has 2/8 and Adams was run out. Lumb fell for 1 and continued his dreadful run of form. Dire start from us. Need Carbs, McKenzie and Razzaq to make the bulk of the runs now if we're going to stand a chance.

Andrew Symonds out second ball and one over for 13.

Perhaps next year we could get Chris Lewis back on day release ...

You reckon he'll get picked by England in T20i's if he continues to flop for us? Surely they'll bring Steve Davies in? Though knowing our selectors, they'll either stick with the failing Lumb, or bring in one of Cook, Bopara or Denly.

Never thought Lumb has been international class myself and he never went on for England did he?

Still they may want to stick with the winning side.

Cricinfo claims we've only picked 10 players too. Looks like they've missed Dan Christian, who's making his debut tonight.

I thought he looked brilliant last year, his hundred in the T20 Cup was superb. He just looked a class player, and made the runs to back that up, so I thought it was a good choice, but he didn't really do that much for England, though more often than not did get us off to a flyer with some early boundaries. I also see them sticking with the winning side, but if he continues to fail miserably for Hampshire, then they're going to struggle to justify that selection I think, especially with someone like Davies waiting in the wings.

Going along nicely, 44*. Shame we haven't got a real dangerman at the top of the order, I feel Katich may have been the ideal partner for a hitter.
