Which is 1 more than Carrick. Not really. He's only had one good game.

One of the better calls - Baines has looked decidedly ordinary in his career so far and his public declaration of suffering from homesickness was worse timing than a Paul Scholes tackle.Baines missing out to Warnock, ugh.
.1600: Breaking news: The seven England players to miss out on a World Cup place are: Leighton Baines, Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone, Scott Parker, Adam Johnson, Theo Walcott, Darren Bent.
Walcott's barely been good his entire career. No need to start this.Which is 1 more than Carrick.

It's because Walcott's "one good game" is one more than Carrick's had in his career.I've not defended Carrick's recent form and he's lucky to even make it. Don't see how that affects Walcott only ever one good game for England. Been good for Arsenal sure.
Better not pick Gerrard or Lampard for England either then.I've not defended Carrick's recent form and he's lucky to even make it. Don't see how that affects Walcott only ever one good game for England. Been good for Arsenal sure.
