OK I'll plug the gap with an easy(ish) one. Can you name the batsman who scored his country's first three hundreds in Tests?

Yes it was Sinclair; it was South Africa's 14th Test in March 1906 before the splendidly named Maitland Hathorn broke Sinclair's monopoly. Sinclair never managed another hundred despite playing for five more years, and he died in 1913. Wisden's obituary included the rather dismissive comment "as a batsman, he was little more than a big hitter."
