I don't think Platini is concerned with debt per se, rather spending more money annually than revenue streams generate, which is pretty easy to define.

Man U were actually one of the 5 teams to turn a profit, but that was totally due to punting Ronaldo. Others are (from memory) Arsenal, T*ttenham, Stoke & Burnley. Blackburn would've done too but paid back a £5m loan the owners had made to the club.
I'm not overly opposed to the measures, if they're implemented well then it's a great idea. I was just rallying against the throwing around of meaningless scary-sounding figures.

I know it's just a friendly and it doesn't mean much, but New Zealand 1 - 0 Serbia

Oh and the reaction from the Serbian fans was priceless.

I'm starting to get a little bit more confident about Oz's chances of qualifying as both Serbia and Ghana could implode and the latter has already lost their best player

Wow Kerry Katona is going to remarry:-O

Honestly, I think Joe Cole would be a great signing for you, especially if you lose Cesc, but that paper has as much credibility as Katona has talent.
Deserved to be referred to as "talent" during her younger years imho.

Sheeeitttt, might hold my tongue regarding how we do until the window closes. Apparently we'd have done all our business before the World Cup and it is not looking promising right now.

Barca have made an official offer for Cesc then. Had enough of their ****ty little games then, realised they weren't getting anywhere.

Gourcuff has apparently said he wants to play for your lot - release clause of 25m Euro, according to a few reports.

Hardly surprising, especially if the offer was as stupidly low as was being reported. Good work by the Beeb too, having two shots at Cesc's age in that article and getting it wrong both times.

In other news, Jerome Boateng's £11m move to Citeh is all-but-completed.
