For threads like this which are direct player comparison threads I actually much prefer that people do just find the old thread with 20 pages in it and revive it rather than starting a new thread (see the sticky post at the top of this subforum). Otherwise we get our 13th Kallis vs Tendulkar thread or whatever it is.

Kapil had pretty insane longevity/workload for a pace bowling alrounder. His career was basically 16 years while Botham and Ashwin played for around 10 years when you account for missed games.
