Basically summed up the whole crowd at the Caxton on Friday Arvo...everyone happy and cheery, quickly turned to f this and f that...ahh the sporting mob...a fickle bunch we are.Ripper after 30 minutes:

Entertaining game with a complete lack of kicking. Just a shame for the Reds that as soon as they lost Davies, who had looked electric in the first 30 minutes, that coincided with the Hurricanes upping their game, much like last week against the Chiefs.
Been confirmed actually - 14 changes from last week's team that faced the Crusaders with Potgieter the only player retained. Bit ridiculous IMO. For the record their side for the weekend is:The Bulls will presumably field a second XI in South African solidarity or summat. Think they lost the Currie Cup as well (in appalling weather)
Tiger Mangweni (9), Jaco van der Westhuyzen (51), Stephan Dippenaar (11), De Wet Barry (78), Deon Helberg (0), Jacques-Louis Potgieter (29), Heini Adams (35), Pedrie Wannenburg (110), Gerrit-Jan van Velze(0), Derick Kuün (53), Bakkies Botha (85, c), Flip van der Merwe (16), Bees Roux (28), Bandise Maku (18), Jaco Engels (39).
Replacements: Chiliboy Ralepelle (18), Dean Greyling (2), Fudge Mabeta (1), Okkie Kruger (0), Ruan Snyman (0), Francois Brummer (0), Stefan Watermeyer (0).
Exactly, its certainly not the worst second XI though I doubt the Stormers will have too much difficulty securing a win and home semi-final. I can't disagree about your final point either - for instance I remember the Crusaders essentially fielded a second team against the Lions earlier in the year - though it does frustrate me when teams field weakened teams for tactical reasons (being an All Black supporter and all).Still, can't complain when your second XI includes Bakkies and vd Westhuyzen
They're can only rest players because other teams have been so much worse, though, so really those sides have nothing to complain about.
