Surprise, surprise. We've let another team off the hook. Brown 70* and Mullaney 61*. We're going down.
Yeah, we have had this problem for a couple of years now, apart from when Tahir was amazing at the end of 2007.

It is not looking good that is for sure, still think we might get out relegation by the end of the season but that is not really what we were looking for.

Really suprised at Jaques form at the moment, also it's good that Harmison is back bowling for Durham again. It may take him a while for him to get back into the swing of things but he will be a big bonus for Durham.

Benhmam and Mckenzie being utterly dire once again, may as well not bother having a number 3 and 4.

30 overs for a partnership of 56.

That is a team that is desperate not to lose, in the process have thrown away any chance of winning.

Really? I'm not, he's a mess at the moment.

McDonald in the wickets, expectedly. Should tear it up with the ball in England, with some handy runs.

Yes indicative of a team low on confidence and self belief.

I have so far got it totally wrong on McKenzie who I thought would be an excellent signing, am presuming this is just a player woefully out of form rather than anything more serious.

As you say with Benham struggling too, the middle order is exceptionally brittle and you can completely understand the way Vince and Pothas have gone about re-building.

Another poor batting performance from Essex. The top 3 have been pretty ineffective, Cook, Godleman, and Maunders, the need for Bopara to return to the side is really quite urgent. Pettini too has struggled, while Mickleburgh has shown promising signs for the future. Foster and RTD have been useful in the mid-lower order and have managed to resurrect one or two innings, but early damage has generally been done.

We lack a cutting edge with the ball also, the addition of Chris Martin is handy without being anything too much to shout about just yet. The arrival of Danish Kaneria obviously the bright light on the horizon.

I am just glad there seem to be so many crap sides in a division i expected to get relegated from at the start of the season. After winning 3 out of 5 we are almost safe already.

Monty Panesar 42 not out..............

And a massively important hundred under enormous pressure from Andy Hodd

Gee Davies has made a pretty awesome start to his Surrey career, 554 runs @ 92.33 in FC cricket and 2 fifties averaging 70 at a strike rate of 142.85 in OD cricket. Must be pissed with his teamates though

Another pathetic defeat, we are getting relegated.

Just to make things worse Kabir has obviously got injured, only bowled 2.1 overs.

God Corky had to keep wicket :-O

Not sure whether to laugh or cry at that, surley there was a better option as we needed his bowling.
