Yorkshire not carving the very ordinary Essex attack all over Scarborough like they should be.Can't believe how many average bowling sides there are this season all over the country though.

I guess it is because McGrath wants his ton.Gale is doing well too but has slowed down.

Well Mags has got there.

Nice to see Yorkshire not concerned about pushing the game on..hopefully another low scoring draw in the offing, not like their attack at the moment will strike fear into anyone so they really needed to get teh runs quicker to give themselves more time to bowl Essex out twice.

Hopefully we will get the early morning glut of wickets at OT, Saj's cameo could have been mightily important again.

Yorkshire still going strong 415-5.

Surrey collapsing against Gloucestershire 127-6.

Notts recovering againts Hampshire 33-4 to 76-4.

No surprise there. Kabir does damage at the top of the order once again, but then we let the batting side off with the rest of the bowling. Really could do with Simon Jones back and firing. At least then we'd have someone that can come in with the new ball, get it to reverse at pace and take some wickets. Bowling just seems toothless after Kabir atm.

Sussex 89-4 having elected to bat against struggling Mddx. O'Brien and Dial M making use of quite tricky conditions. I'm at the game and it's bloody freezing

131- 6 now.

Please don't do what you did last week and let them recover.

Early wicket for Yorkshire,Patterson removes Cook. Now hopefully the weather won't ruin the chance of victory this week.

Rashid gets Godleman in his first over and Essex are struggling.27-2.

Gale finding captaincy easy so far.It will get harder though.

Prior having a weird season for Sussex, got a ton today but he had really struggled before. They needed the runs today 187-8 Prior 103*

Good to see Mullaney make some runs, another Lancs youngster not given the opportunities he deserved at OT, decent career average for a number 8

Cricinfo has Matthew Maynard hitting a 32 ball 46 in the UCCE game...didn't get to bat with his son though, would have been interesting, keeping wicket as well...Glamorgan short of keepers or something?
