We really need Vince and McKenzie to put on a massive partnership here. Not been the best of starts to the season for us at all. Don't really have too much depth in batting either. If one of these 2 go quickly, I don't see us winning the game.

29/4 now. McKenzie and Pothas both gone. 3 wickets for Will Gidman and 1 for Chris Rushworth. We're not exactly being dominated by Durham's 1st choice seamers. Just embarrassing.

Not surprising though really, given that Lancs have Sajid Mahmood and Daren Powell bowling in tandem atm. Not exactly the most promising of fast-bowling combinations.

Just seen the score yeah, making rather hard work of chasing 144. RR certainly not a problem though, so it just needs a bit of application.

Indeed. Seems the Captaincy's done him the world of good as far as his batting goes. A century when it was needed in the Championship and then his first List A half-century today. Be interesting to see how he goes as the year goes on, can't have asked for a much better start though.

Early days obviously, but I reckon his strength is probably in the one-dayers. Batting that is - his bowling is redundant in both formats with Batty + Schofield/Chawla in the side.

Hard to escape the feeling though that he's been thrown in at the deep end. Personally I'd like to have seen him come in as vice-captain or one-day captain while a stopgap (probably Ramps) led the team for a season or two.
