A partnership of 81 between Chris Rogers and Garry Park has seen Derbyshire home against Glamorgan. Rogers 51*, Park 43*. Rogers has had another excellent start to the season, but Greg Smith the undoubted star of this game with figures of 1-39 off 10 in the 1st inns, 165 not out, then 4-66 off 20 overs.

Derby have bounced back from their defeat at Leicester and now have 2 wins from the first 3 games.

Blackwell's got his 3rd wicket of the innings, removing Kabir lbw, and Plunkett got Briggs the same way for 0. A lead of 229, Ervine still there and needs to go big quickly.

Imran Arif has got the big wicket of Ramps at Croydon, and former Worcester player Batty has gone for a duck to Moeen Ali. Could Worcester somehow force a win in this one, if they are to do so, they going to need to get rid of Steve Davies pretty soon, he's 38 not out.

Lunch all around the grounds, sorry if I'm boring people with these updates, but I was supposed to be playing cricket myself today and my back went this morning so I'm trying to fill my time and take my mind off not playing!!

Hants have a lead of 230 and probably will not get too many more, interesting chase for Durham.

Yorkshire have enjoyed a very good morning session, they've moved to 77-0 off 26 overs. Decent platform in which to save the game, highly unlikely they'll knock them off I'd have thought. Tredwell has been economical, but Kent need a breakthrough quick.

Peters and Wakely's partnership continues to blossom, it is now at 100, and Northants are 143-1, needing a further 251 to secure victory against Middlesex.

Potentially four run-chases which could go to the wire today.
Absolutely, could be a thoroughly exciting final day at a number of the grounds.

Don't fancy Yorkshire to chase down their target, but expect them not to lose.

Durham and Hants will be interesting, but think the champions may just edge it,

The great platform given to Northants by Peters and Wakely will be crucial in seeing their side home.

While I anticipate some lower order resistance from Surrey to ensure they don't lose again.

Hampshire all out, meaning Durham need 260 to win, a 10th wicket partnership of 30 between Ervine and Griffiths could be crucial.

With the massive win/draw differential teams may as well go for these chases.
I suppose there's be an element of weighing up the odds of getting runs against depriving their opponents of the win points. Still, the start to the season has been way more interesting than omost in recent years in terms of avoiding massively high score draws.

Looking around, Finn hasn't done a lot since skittling Worcstershire on a massively helpful wicket. And I'm looking forward to Sayers leading the charge to see the Tykes home shortly befoer the close.

Yes, not sure where I stand on the new points system. In Durham's case, despite them being 2nd best against Essex, they didn't lose but had less points than Hampshire who were beaten outright by Essex. I'm all for sides playing positively and going for the win, but there should be some reward in a draw.

Solanki has done for Schofield at Surrey, but that game now seems certain to be played out for a draw, save for something quite special.

Two fantastic partnerships continuing to develop at Canterbury and Northampton. Adam Lyth and Joe Sayers have combined for 151 for the opening wicket so far, while Stephen Peters and Alex Wakely have contributed 173 for their side so far. Both vital for their sides.

Lyth & Sayers both gone now. But they've promoted Bresnan to give it some humpety.

Yes can understand the promotion of Bresnan, and they do some impetus into their innings, they have had a decent start and preserved their wickets to enable themselves to have a bit of a dart at it, still looks a long shot to me.

Worcester have lost Jaques and Mitchell early again, the former bagging a pair. One each for Nel and Dernbach.

Especially as they seem to have forgotten to tell Bresnan about the impetus bit: he's made 12 off 32 balls so far. It'll take something spectacular now.

Oh well looks like a hard fought draw for Yorkshire, that'll do though.

Looks like a good finish building at Cheter-le-Street as Durham will go for it.Big test for the young spinner playing for Hampshire.

Seem to be two very evenly matched sides at Kent, a draw the only realistic result.

Durham have the power players to still win the game against Hants (Benkenstein, Blackwell, Stokes, Mustard etc), I agree a big test for young Briggs.
